Barbering isn't just what we do — it's who we are. 20+ years of combined experience behind the chair taught us that a great cut is about more than hair. It's about craft, confidence, and community.
How It Started
Shay needed a career change and wanted to be part of a career with deep roots and provided a forever home. She found the barbering world by going to the barbershop as a young kid with her grandfather. She remembered the family like atmosphere. She decided to go to school and was lucky to have some amazing teachers while there. That instilled the culture and history of the barbering world. She has worked in three shops. Finally found her forever home at Legends Way Barbers and Beauties in Manchester New Hampshire. After school she worked in a few shops. Each one taught me something different — about clients, about business, about what it means to build a reputation one cut at a time. That's still how I think about it today.
Mikey sister Faith enrolled him in school. Because she noticed he was losing passion in life. Once enrolled he fell in love with The Craft of Barbering. He has worked at many shops till he saw things that needed change. He then opened Legends Way Barbers and Beauties in Manchester, NH. Once he noticed that loyalty fell short in a few shops. He then decided to create Legends Way, A shop with family values and crew that can grow, expanded and help to grow this industry with future barbers that understand and want to grow, learn and educate each other.
Why The Craft
The Craft Of Barbering exists to raise the standard. Too many barbers are self-taught from YouTube videos and guesswork. I built this platform to share what actually works — the techniques, the tools, and the mindset — so the next generation can start further ahead than I did. I can’t express the importance of school or a proper apprenticeship.
